Congratulations go out to Trojan Sophomore, Gio Jackson being named the NWAC Baden Men's Basketball Athlete of the Year and to Trojan Freshman, Jakobe Ford being named NWAC Baden Co-Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Year.
Both of these young men were recognized along with the other Athletes of the Year of the other NWAC sports at the 2018 NWAC Hall of Fame Banquet on May 31st in Pasco, WA. Both of these were very well deserved by Gio & Jakobe. Gio was voted Northern Region Men's Basketball MVP, as well as being named NWAC Player of the week twice during the 2017-2018 season. He was also named to the LCC Red Devil Classic back in November 2017.
Jakobe won the 1st ever NWAC Triple Crown for Jumps at the 2018 Championships, as well as setting a NWAC Championship Meet Record in the Triple Jump. He also scored 30 points at the NWAC Championships to be the Co-High Point Athlete of the Meet. He was also named the Outstanding Field Athlete of the Meet, as well as being named NWAC Athlete of the Week. Jakobe also set a new EvCC High Jump Record on March 31st with a 7'0 1/4" mark.
