Trojan Track & Field NWAC Results

The Men's & Women's Track & Field teams were at Mt. Hood CC in Gresham, OR on Monday, May 21st and Tuesday, May 22nd to participate in the 2018 NWAC Track & Field Championships. The Trojan Teams had some great performances on both days. Freshman, Jakobe Ford won the 1st ever NWAC Triple Crown in Jumps, by winning the Long Jump, 7.33m, the High Jump, 1.95m and the Triple Jump. 15.53m, which was a NWAC Championship record. He was named Outstanding Field Athlete of the Meet as well as the Co-High Point Athlete of the Meet. Also for the Men's Team: Freshman, Dimeji Adekanbi took 4th in the 100m Dash, 8th in the 200m Dash; Freshman, Taylor Barnes took 7th in the 400m Dash; Freshman, Anthony Meza took 9th in the 5000m Run; Sophomore, Michael Ha took 9th in the 3000m Steeplechase;  the 4X100 Relay team of Dimeji Adekanbi, Taylor Barnes, Mohamud Mohamud and Kyle Duncan took 6th; the 4X400 Relay team of Taylor Barnes, Gerrit VanBeek, Cameron Roberson and Elliot Dick took 4th.  For the Women's Team: Sophomore, Jewelia Meischke took 4th in the 400m Dash; Freshman, Kaitlin Morgan took 5th in the 800m Dash; Sophomore, Jeniya Guillen took 5th in the 1500m Run; Freshman, Taylor Dewing took 6th in the 100m Hurdles; the 4X400 Relay team of Taylor Dewing, Kaitlin Morgan, Jeniya Guillen and Jewelia Meischke took 5th; The Men's Team scored 51 points and took 6th place while the Women's Team scored 20 points and took 10th place.
