
In a year of accomplishments that was over-shadowed by the global pandemic of COVID-19, we take a look back at the 20202021 Trojan Athletic year to share, celebrate, and remember those stories.

Cross Country
Freshman Ryan Barene led the Trojan men with an 8th place finish Northwest Region Championship Runners Up; Avery Daniels led the women with a 2nd place finish at the Northwest Region meet. Women's team had a team GPA of 3.16; 4 male athletes and 4 female athletes made the academic honor roll. NWAC Top performers include: Ryan Barene, Avery Daniels, Jake Waterhouse, Caelyn Foster, Tyler Buck, and Johanna Schmidt.
Women's Soccer
1-3-2 record in the shortened COVID season led by 4th year coach Rafael Marins. Beat a favorited Whatcom team by a score of 2-0. Paige Bowcut, Emily Marriott and Cassidy Gamble named to NWAC Top Performers List. Five team members made the academic honor roll.
Men's Soccer
2-6-1 record in the shortened COVID season led by interim head coach Winfred Smith; Defeated rival Edmonds in both matches by a combined score of five goals to one. Earned a 2-2 draw against a heavily favored Whatcom team. Manny Segura, Daniel Amador, and Duglas Cruz named to NWAC Top performers list. Team GPA was just below 3.0 average for the year and 8 players made the honor roll with 3 on the president's list.
Women's Volleyball
Roster was depleted due to COVID-19 however first year head coach Whitney Williams kept the season alive and the Trojans competed hard in the shortened 8-match season. Rachel Hendrickson, Stasia Kaahanui, and Claire Lyshol were named to NWAC Top Performers list. Four athletes made the academic honor roll list.
Women's Basketball
Finished the season on an 8-game winning streak to claim the first North Region Title since 2008. Five games were decided by 5 points or less and EvCC won 4 of those games. Sydney Vanness, Mikail Montez, and Courtney Perry were named NWAC Top performers. Chet Hovde retired as head coach after 35 years with the program.
Men's Basketball
Finished the season on a 6 game winning streak and won the 4th straight North Region Title. Head Coach Mike Trautman in his 5th season won his 100th game. Two sophomores signed to play DII, and Devin Smith, Brendon Redford, and Jake Howe were named to NWAC Top performers list. Team GPA was above 3.0 for the year and 9 athletes made the academic honor roll.
Track and Field
9 Track and Field Athletes earned All American Honors. Javon Gray was a 2x All American in the Long Jump and Triple Jump with the 3rd best and 2nd best marks in the NWAC respectively. Livii Fetterley was a 4x All American. She had the best mark of the season in the NWAC in the shot put, and set a new school record. She had the 2nd fastest 100m hurdle time and the 5th fastest 200m time. She was also on both relay teams. 13 athletes were named to the academic honor roll. This was head coach Julian Barwell's 2nd season as head coach and 4th season in total with the program.
Softball
20-4 season record, winning 8 of the last 9 games to claim the first North Region Title since 2007. Several players led the top NWAC statistical categories including Kaylie Hoskins who led in strikeouts and ERA. She was named first team All American and NWAC pitcher of the year. NWAC top performers include Hoskins, Kayla Tuaoa, and Izzy Hansen. 6 student athletes made the honor roll in head coach Randy Smith's 19th season.
Baseball
Finished the season 24-8 and captured a 2nd straight North Region Title, and the 4th in the past 5 years. Luke Rohleder set a single season stolen bases record and 16 players signed letters of intent to play at the next level. The team GPA was above 3.0 and 23 student athletes made the academic honor roll, including 8 on the dean's list. This was head coach JoJo Howie's 4th season at the helm.
