2010 Hall of Fame Inductee - Former Student Athlete/Coach

Marv Cross played and coached at EJC.  A member of the 1947 football team, Marv was one of the returning World War II veterans who led that team to an undefeated championship season.  He was named to the Washington State Junior College Athletic Conference All- Conference Team as a fullback, and continued his playing career at Washington State College.  He played professional football for the Philadelphia Eagles and Vancouver Lions, and returned to Everett in 1964 to become the head football coach, where he stayed until his retirement in 1976. As football coach, Cross led the Trojans to conference championships in 1966 (co-champions with Columbia Basin College) and 1967. He also coached the 1967 state championship baseball team; that team was inducted into EvCC’s Hall of Fame in 2009.
