John Garner
A two-year letterman in both baseball and football at Everett Junior College, Garner still holds the college record for the longest touchdown run (99 yards). He attended the college from 1949 to 1951, and led the EJC baseball team to the state title his sophomore year. While at EJC, Garner also served as the president of the Associated Men Students. Following two successful years at the University of Washington, Garner entered the U.S. Navy, serving two years’ active duty. He worked for the Marysville School District for more than 25 years, and also served on the Snohomish County Council for four years. John passed away in 2021.
