1964 Men’s Tennis

Coach Dick Rowley’s 1964 men’s tennis team had one of the most successful seasons in the history of the college. Not only did they win the state championship as a team, the individual accomplishments were also outstanding. Joe Morgan won the state singles championship after a dominant season as the number one singles player. He teamed with Ron Collins to win the state doubles championship. This number one doubles team did not lose a set all year on their way to an undefeated season. Other members on the team roster were Craig Yost, Jay Magill, Fred McMaster, Guillermo “Bill” Jones, Lloyd Broadniak, Ron Springberg, and Bruce Eichelsdoerfer.
