Chad McGuire

Chad came to Everett Community College from Edmonds-Woodway high school and left here as one of the finest performers at the guard position. He was a second team NWAACC all-star following his sophomore season, and was among the NWAACC leaders in assists in 1991-92. Chad teamed with fellow co-captain and Hall of Famer Shawn Frank during the 1991-92 season and was an effective all-around player who could score, pass, and defend with the league’s best. He continued his education and basketball career at Whitworth in Spokane. Like many of head coach Larry Walker’s former players, Chad entered the coaching profession at Meadowdale High School. He coached at the junior varsity level (basketball, football, softball) and served nine years as the varsity men’s head basketball coach. Meadowdale’s highest finish in the state basketball tournament (5th place) took place in 2010. McGuire still teaches at Meadowdale; he retired from coaching in 2011.
