Dick Skinner

Football and track were Dick Skinner’s sports of choice at Everett Junior College in 1946 and 1947. He was a member of the Hall of Fame 1947 football team, competing as a freshman on the championship team. In the spring of 1947, his track accomplishments led him to the National Junior College Track and Field meet in Phoenix. Competing against the nation’s best junior college pole vaulters, Skinner finished fourth in what remains the college’s highest national finish in the sport. Skinner retired in Kelso and passed away in 2018 at the age of 91.
