Bob Bruce

Bob Bruce is the most decorated track and field athlete in Trojan history as a six-time state champion at the college level.  He competed at Everett Junior College in 1948 and 1949, winning the mile and 880 in both his freshman and sophomore years here.  He was also a member on the 4x400 team which also won first place in both years.  In 1948, the college sent him to the National Junior College track meet, where he finished third in the nation in the 880.  In 1949 Bob was an integral part of the team that won the conference championship.  He is also known as the person who held the record in the mile at Bothell High for over 20 years.  Bob was a military veteran and Edmonds School District employee; he passed away in 2010.
