Corby Schuh

Corby Schuh, a Spokane native played his high school basketball at Central Valley where he was named to the 2nd Team All Greater Spokane League in both his junior and senior seasons.  He set school records for most games with a 3-pointer (27 consecutive games) as well as the most 3-point field goals in a single game (8).  Additionally he still holds the season and career records for the most 3 pointers with 66 and 131 respectively. 

After high school, Corby continued his basketball career at Everett Community College.  Corby was drawn to the Everett program because of head coach Larry Walker and his “run and gun” style of play.  He averaged 15.5 points per game and made 112 three-pointers during his Freshman year, and helped lead the Trojans to a 6th place finish.  He made 2nd team All North Division during his Freshman season.  His Sophomore season he averaged 24.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game and was named 1st team All North Division.  He had a career high 38 points versus Clackamas and he hit 9 three-pointers versus Spokane for a career high in a game.  

Corby hit 119 three pointers in his Sophomore season which gives him a total of 231 three pointers for a career.  He is currently in the top 5 in scoring in EvCC Men’s Basketball history with 1,200 career points.   Corby went on to Central Washington University where he finished out his collegiate career.  He averaged 9.2 points per game his Junior year and was part of a team that finished 24-5 and were crowned PacWest Champions.  His Senior year at Central Washington he averaged 13.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game and was named to the 2nd Team All PacWest.  He ended his career at Central with 151 three-pointers made.  He helped lead Central Washington to a 21-7 record and to the Sweet 16 of NCAA Division 2. Corby’s collegiate career ended in 2000, but he joined the Everett Explosion for one year and played alongside fellow Hall of Fame inductee Darrell Walker in the professional league the IBL in 2007.  

Corby has been teaching and coaching high school basketball for 20 years and most recently as the head coach at Marysville Getchell High School for the past 9 years.  Coach Schuh led Marysville Getchell  to the State playoffs in the Tacoma Dome for the first time in school history during the 2019-2020 season with a record of 17-6.  Corby has a wife Jennifer and two daughters Addy (11) and Ava (8).  He resides in Arlington, Wa. where he also coaches his daughters select basketball team.
