The Trojan's strengthened their case for being one of the top programs in the NWAC this season after a series sweep against a solid Shoreline CC team. Coming into the series, the Dolphins were 13-7 and 3-1 in North Region play. That changed after a 4 game series in which EvCC outscored SCC with 25 total runs to 8, and more importantly added 4 wins to their North Region Standings. It was another monster weekend for Sam Linscott, making a case for NWAC player of the week batting .455 on the weekend with a 1.000 slugging percentage, scored 5 runs, drove in 4, walked 5 times and hit two home runs. Charlie Larson also had a solid weekend hitting .385 with 6 runs scored, 5 RBI's, a triple, and a home run.
Game 1 at Memorial: 11-1 Win
- Charlie Larson went 3 for 5 with 4 RBI's and a home run
- Sam Linscott went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's and a home run
- Mitch Albin went 2 for 3 with with an RBI
- Brycen Allen pitched a complete game giving up just one run and recording 6 strike outs
Game 2 at Memorial: 4-1 Win
- Sam Linscott went 1 for 3 with a two run home run
- Marcus McCannel went 1 for 3 with an RBI
- Mitch Albin went 2 for 4 with an RBI
- Aydin Adams earns the save going 2 hitless innings and struck out 1
Game 3 at Shoreline: 8-5 Win
- Sam Linscott went 2 for 3 and scored 2 runs
- Austin Hauck went 1 for 4 with a 2 run home run
- Charlie Larson went 1 for 4 with an RBI triple
- Kyle Rodriguez went 1 for 4 with a solo home run
- Nicholas Klemp went 1 for 3, walked twice and drove in two runs
Game 4 at Shoreline: 2-1 Win
- Austin Hauck went 1 for 2 and drew two walks
- Charlie Larson went 1 for 4 and scored a run
- Nolan Smith went 2 for 3 with a double and scored a run
- Paul Falco went 6 innings giving up 3 hits, 1 run and struck out 5
- Gabe Smith earned his second save on the year going two innings with just one hit and a strikeout
The Trojans improve to 7-1 in North Region standings and 23-5 overall. They will face Douglas College next weekend Saturday at home and Sunday in Surrey, BC. Douglas is 1-5 in North Region play and 4-9 overall. They lost the series 3-1 to Shoreline in their opening series of the season and dropped two to Bellevue. They play Bellevue at home on Tuesday.
