Trojans Split 4 Game Series with Yakima Valley

This weekend of baseball was a good one for the Trojans as they split the four game series with Yakima Valley. The first two games on Saturday were split as the Trojans beat the Yaks 15-5 but the Yaks answered back in the second game by walking it off 5-4 in the 9th inning. Sunday had the bats starting off again for both teams. The Trojans managed to edge out the Yaks 13-12 in the first game that went all 9 innings. The second game was close again as each team answered each other and forced extra innings. In the 11th inning the Yaks would walk it off and win 8-7. Some key performance this weekend were Austin Hauck's 8 RBI's, Brody Ponti's 7 RBI's Jonathan Kumai's .471 batting average, Ocean Gabonia's 8 strikeouts. The top performance this week was Austin Hauck who hit .389 in 18 at bats, 8 RBI's, 10 total bases, 3 doubles and a slugging percentage of .556.
