Everett, WA - Former Trojan assistant coach Ezra Lacina, has risen quickly in the baseball world, now serving as a bullpen catcher and coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers during spring training. After his college playing days at Green River College and NAIA Sterling College, Ezra joined EvCC's coaching staff in the 2020-2021 season.  His four seasons of hard work with catchers and coaching clinics helped him gain recognition. Lacina's journey has taken him from an NWAC student athlete to coaching, and culminating in a call from the Dodgers after their World Series win.   Currently in Arizona for MLB's spring training, he plays a key role in player development, utilizing both advanced data and firsthand observations. After spring training, Lacina will continue his coaching career with the Great Lakes Loons, a Dodgers minor league affiliate.
