Trojans Shoot Lights Out In Win Over Clackamas

The Trojans matched up with the Clackamas Cougars Monday night at home. The Trojans came out against a 7-1 Clackamas team looking to make a statement. The 1st half was played with a sense of urgency from both teams pushing the ball and running the floor. Both teams utilized their bench as they continued to play at a fast pace the entire half. The big story for the Trojans was Markieth Brown draining 3 after 3 going 5 of 10 from downtown in the first half for a total of 21 points. This gave the Trojans an edge going into halftime up 50-47. As a team the Trojans looked strong shooting the ball well from beyond the arc shooting 43% as a team.

In the second half the Trojans continued to shoot the ball well from deep. As a team Everett shot 18 for 36 from beyond the arc and 37-74 from the field. The Trojans would go on to lose their presence down low in Magnus Jespersen who took a hit to the face and went out with a broken nose with about 16 minutes to play. Markieth Brown Jr continued right where he left off in the 1st half finishing 7-13 from 3 and 39 points on the night. Jon Parker had a good night with 11 points and Bobby Martin with 16 to help the Trojans to a big 109-91 win over Clackamas. The Trojans advance their record to 5-5 and the Cougars now sit at 7-2.
