Trojans Route Edmonds

The Trojans hosted Edmonds in a T-Cup matchup Saturday night at Walt Price. Both teams went into this one 3-0 in conference play while both ranked 1 and 2 in the latest RPI pull. This game was one you didn't want to miss and it lived up to the hype.

Both Edmonds and Everett battled on defense holding each other under 30% from the 3-point line which has helped Everett to most of their wins. The Trojans started off the game hot and stayed that way. On the night the Trojans would end up shooting 47% from the field. Knowing how big of a game this was to establish themselves as a contender, the Trojans came out and blew out the Tritons 48-28 in the first half.

Markieth Brown Jr shot lights out once again putting up 27 on the night. Magnus Jespersen played a huge game for the Trojans coming up with 13 points and 10 rebounds in another double-double for the big man down low. Jon Parker provided spark off the bench coming up with big shots down the stretch. Jon would go on to finish with 17 points of his own.

Late in the second half the Tritons managed to come back within 10. After a few big shots by the Trojans to extend their lead, point guard Tori Odom lead the team with his experience to secure the win over Edmonds. Tori finished with 7 points as well as a big game from Phalon Maddox with 12 that ultimately was too much for Edmonds.
