Big win over Bellevue 85-81

The Trojans (17-3) hosted Bellevue (1-18) Wednesday night as the Trojans look to keep pace with first place Skagit. Both teams traded baskets for most of the first half. The Trojans were able to pull away for a little as their largest lead in the first half was 13 points but Bellevue was able to close in and go into halftime with a score of 45-39.

Piol Makuei and Tyler Walker both led the Trojans with 16 points each. Devin Smith (14 points), Elijah Seybold (13 points) and Bobby Martin (11 points) all contributed with double digits to a high scoring 85 points for the Trojans as they battled Bellevue.

The game continued to go back and forth in the second half until the Trojans found themselves up 4 with 3 minutes left. After a few big free throws by the Trojans, they found themselves up 8 with 45 seconds remaining. Piol Makuei was able to go 3 of 4 in the final 12 seconds to secure a 85-81 win over Bellevue.

The Trojans now advance to 18-3 (5-1) and will play their next game at home Sunday February 2nd.
