Results vs Tacoma (8/27) - The Trojan Men's Soccer Team lost their season opener againstTacoma CC yesterday afternoon 0-3 in their first game of the 2013 NWAACC Friendlies Tournament. The Titans first goal by Dakota Scott was in the 10 minute mark. The Trojans held them off for the next 30 minutes until Luke Logan scored in the 40th minute. Going into half time the Titans had a 2-0 lead. Ten minutes into the second half, Joe Snow scored the Titans third and final goal of the game. Trojan Ian Beegle had 6 saves. Everett is 0-1-0 overall and Tacoma is 1-0-0. According to Head Coach Willsie, "The first 30 minutes was awesome. Everett had 70% possession. We have a young team that haven't played together and it showed. Tacoma's three goals were the result of: 1st goal - Tactical error, the center mids out of position; 2nd goal - Technical error, a miskick by defender; 3rd goal - Mental error, a lack of focus. All of these errors are fixable and we will learn from this." Coach Willsie is very excited about this team and feels he has an awesome group of guys.

 

Results vs Peninsula (8/28) - Peninsula College has been one of the tougher teams in the NWAACC in Men's Soccer in recent years. This year was no exception. The Trojans played the Pirates at the second day of the 2013 NWAACC Friendlies Tournament at Starfire Complex on August 28th. The game started at 4:30pm and Peninsula scored their first goal by Ashkanov Apollon 33 minutes later. In the 38th minute, Alex Martinex scored the Pirates second goal. At halftime, the score was 2-0 in favor of Peninsula. Going into the second half, both team played hard and Everett held off Peninsula until the 76th minute, when Musa Kamara scored their third goal. Two minutes later, Christopher Galea scored their fourth and final goal. The Trojans were unable to score against the Pirates, and Everett's Ian Beegle had 3 saves. Everett is now 0-2-0 overall and Peninsula is 2-0-0 overall. Trojan Sophomore Mikias Brown had this to say about the game, "I thought we all gave it our best shot. It was a challenging game, but everyone played hard. Peninsula is a good team and we definitely learned some things we need to work on as a team."

 

Results vs Spokane (9/11) - The Men's Soccer Team from the CC of Spokane were in town on Wednesday, Sept. 11th for league games with the Trojans. The Men started the day off at 2:00pm with the Women following at 4;15pm. Both games were well played by all four teams, and at the end of the 90 minutes of each game the score was 0-0. Everett's Ian Beegle and Shelby Hampton recorded the shutouts for the Trojans and Spokane's Curtis Hill and Emily Moscrip for the Sasquatch. Everett Men are 0-0-1 in league and 0-2-1 overall with 1 point, 0 goals for, 7 goals against and 1 shutout. Everett Women are 0-0-1 in league and 1-2-1 overall with 1 point, 3 goals for, 3 goals against, and 2 shutouts. Spokane Men are 0-0-1 in league and 4-0-2 overall with 1 point, 11 goals for, 7 goals against and 1 shutout. Spokane Women are 0-0-1 in league and 2-0-2 overall with 1 point, 10 goals for, 2 goals against, and 2 shutouts.

 

Results vs Clark College (9/18) - In a non-league game in Vancouver, WA, the Trojan Men's Soccer Team was on the campus of Clark College to play the Penguins on Wednesday, Sept 18th. Unfortunately for the Trojans, the Penguins outscored them to win the game 3-0. Penguin Bernardino Ayala- Jimenez scored in the 11th minute and the 50th minute, with both assists going to Christian Desir. In the 89th minute, Gustavo Gonzalez scored their third goal. Everett's keeper Ian Beegle had 3 saves and Clarks keeper Johnathan Morales had 4 saves. Clark is now 2-0-0 in league and 6-1-1 overall with 6 points, 17 goals for, 8 goals against and 3 shutouts. Everett is 0-0-1 in league and 0-3-1 overall with 1 point, 0 goals for, 10 goals against and 1 shutout.

 

Results vs Wenatchee (9/20) - The Men's Soccer Teams was in Wenatchee, WA to play league games with the Knights of Wenatchee Valley College on Friday, September 20th. The Men's game began at 4:15pm. With six minutes left in the first half, the first goal was scored by the Knights Juan Carlos with the assist to Fabian Alvarez. There wasn't another goal scored until the 90th minute and that was by Jonathan Molina of Wenatchee and Williams Pineda assisted. When the game ended, the Knights won with a score of 2-0. Everett's Ian Beegle had 5 saves while Wenatchee's Antonio Madera had 8 saves. Everett is 0-1-1 in league and 0-4-1 overall with 1 point, 12 goals against and 1 shutout. Wenatchee is 1-2-0 in league and 2-3-1 overall with 3 points, 12 goals for, 11 goals against and 1 shutout.

 

Results vs Walla Walla (9/21) - With the Trojan Soccer Team was in Eastern Washington (they played at Wenatchee Valley on 9/20), they traveled to Walla Walla to play the Warriors of Walla Walla CC in league play on Saturday Sept. 21st. In the Mens game, Everett's Ian Beegle had 16 saves, but him and the Trojans were not able to stop the Warriors. Walla Walla won 3-0 with goals by Mario Guizar in the 62nd minute (assisted by Michael Mollay); Franky Arroyo in the 68th minute (assisted by Jhony Mendoza) and Saif Al Rikabi in the 74th minute (assisted by Michael Mollay). Derek Carver recorded the shutout and had 2 saves for the Warriors. Everett Men are now 0-2-1 in league and 0-5-1 overall with 1 point, 15 goals against and 1 shutout. Walla Walla Men are 3-0-0 in league and 5-1-0 overall with 9 points, 26 goals for, 7 goals against and 3 shutouts.

 

Results vs Columbia (9/27) - Columbia Basin College Hawks soccer teams were in town on Friday September 27th to play the Trojans in league play. In the Men's game, there was no score in the first half of the game. The first goal of the game was scored in the 65th minute by Everett's Jonathan Perry, assisted by Guadalupe Rodriguez. In the 82nd minute, Guadalupe Rodriguez scored Everett's second goal. Four minutes later, the Hawks scored their only goal by Guillermo Silva in the 86th minute. Trojan Ian Beegle had 3 saves while Hawk Antonio Gonzalez had 2 saves. Everett gets the win by a score of 2-1. The Trojans are 1-2-1 in league and 1-5-1 overall with 4 points, 2 goals for, 17 goals against and 1 shutout. The Hawks are 1-2-1 in league and 2-5-1 overall with 4 points, 13 goals for, 16 goals against and 2 shutouts.

 

Results vs TVCC (9/28) - Saturday, September 28th, the Chukars of Treasure Valley CC were in Everett to play league games with the Trojans in the rain and wind. The Men's game began and went back and forth until the 53rd minute when Chukar Mo Muyumbe scored with the assist to Woody Anquiano. That was the only goal scored in the game. TVCC won 1-0. Everett's Ian Beegle had 3 saves and Javier Amaral had 4 saves. Everett is not 1-3-1 in league and 1-6-1 overall with 4 points, 2 goals for, 17 goals against and 1 shutout. Treasure Valley is 1-3-1 in league and overall with 4 points, 5 goals for, 13 goals against and 2 shutouts.

 

Results vs Whatcom (10/2) - The Men's Soccer Teams was on the campus of Whatcom CC on Wednesday October 2nd to play the Orcas in league games. The Women started the day off at 2:00pm with the Men to follow at 4:15pm. In the Men's game, the Trojans scored the first goal very quickly - within the first minute of the game by Gabriel Machias-Neri and assisted by Mike Mikulsky. However, for Whatcom, Ryo Matsubara scored in the 17th minute, 35th minute and the 44th minute to give the Orcas the win 3-1. Davis Strawn gave the assist on the 17th minute goal and Codi Woodcock on the 44th goal. Trojan Ian Beegle had 5 saves and Orca Andrew Wildfong had 1 save. Everett is not 1-4-1 in league and 1-7-1 overall with 4 points, 3 goals for, 20 goals against and 1 shutout. Whatcom is 2-2-2 in league, 2-3-3 overall with 8 points, 11 goals for, 12 goals against and 2 shutouts.

 

Results vs Shoreline (10/9) - The Men's Soccer Teams hosted Shoreline CC in league games on Wednesday October 9, 2013. The Men started the day off at 2pm. At the 8:55 mark, Everett's Gabriel Machias-Neri scored with the Ryan Kressly assisting. In the 39th minute, Vgo Obianozie assisted Gibril Freeman in Shoreline's goal. And while Everett, had numerous other chances to score, they were unable to and the game ended in a tie 1-1. Ian Beegle for Everett had 9 saves and so did Shoreline's Angel Cruz. Everett league record is now 1-4-2 and overall record is 1-7-2 with 5 points, 4 goals for, 21 goals against and 1 shutout. Shoreline is 1-3-3 in league and 1-7-4 overall with 6 points, 15 goals for, and 36 goals against.

 

Results vs Edmonds (10/12) - The Tritons of Edmonds CC were at Kasch Park on Saturday, Oct. 12th to play the Trojans in league soccer games. The Men's game began at 2:15pm and pretty quickly, within the first 5 minutes, the Tritons Zak Naylor scored with the assist from Miguel Medina. It wasn't until about two minutes left in the first half that the Trojans scored a goal by Guadalupe Rodriguez assisted by Grayson Knott. While the second half went back and forth, that was how the game ended - in a tie 1-1. Everett's Ian Beegle had 12 saves and Edmonds Andrew McDonald had 11. Everett is 1-4-3 in league and 1-7-3 overall with 6 points, 5 goals for, 22 goals against and 1 shutout. Edmonds is 5-1-2 in league and 5-4-2 overall with 17 points, 23 goals for and 21 goals against.

 

Results vs Skagit (10/16) - Skagit Valley College hosted the Trojans in two soccer league games on Wednesday October 16th in Mt. Vernon, WA. During the Men's game, at the 31 minute mark, Trojan Guadalupe Rodriguez scored the Trojans first goal. In the 45th minute, Cardinal Ifiokobong Ekpo scored with the assist tho Sergio Garcia. Skagit went up 2-1 in the 57th minute with a goal by Eleazer Galvan, however Everett tied it up at 2-2 with a goal by Gabriel Machia-Neri with the assist to Grayson Knott in the 65th minute. At the end of 90 minutes, that was how the game ended 2-2. Everett's Ian Beegle had 9 saves and Skagit's Alejandro Sanchez had 4 saves. Everett Men are now 1-4-4 in league and 1-7-4 overall with 7 points, 7 goals for and 24 goals against with 1 shutout. Skagit Men are 53-1 in league and 7-3-1 overall with 16 points, 27 goals for, 16 goals against and 2 shutouts.

 

Results vs Whatcom (10/19) - Whatcom CC Soccer Teams were at Kasch Park in Everett to play  league games against the Trojans on Saturday, Oct. 19th. The Men's game was next at 2:15pm. The first half ended with no goals for either team. About two minutes after the start of the second half, with the assist from Alberto Farias, Trojan Guadalupe Rodriguez scored the only goal of the game. Everett keeper, Ian Beegle had 10 saves while Whatcom keeper Andrew Wildfong had 3 saves. Everett Men in league are now 2-4-4 and overall 2-7-4 with 10 points, 8 goals for, 24 goals against and 2 shutouts. Whatcom Men are 3-5-2 in league and 3-6-3 overall with 11 points, 16 goals for, 19 goals against and 2 shutouts.

 

 

Results from Soccer at Shoreline 10/26 - Saturday, Oct. 26th, the Trojan Soccer Teams played at 6:00pm & 8:15pm in Seattle, WA against the Dolphins of Shoreline CC.  The Men began at 8:15pm. There were two goals in the first half - one by the Dolphins Ugo Obianozie in the 13th minute (assisted by Marcus Edwards) and the other by Trojan Guadalupe Rodriguez in the 21st minute. Going into the second half with a 1-1 tie, four minutes into the half, Trojan Gabriel Machias-Neri scored (assisted by Mike Mikulsky). Dolphin Owusu Fordjour scored their second goal in the 78th minute with the assist by Jibril Freeman. The Dolphins third goal was not reported. With a 3-2 score, Shoreline won the game. Everett's Ian Beegle had 2 saves, while Shoreline's Rick Lum had 7 saves. Everett Women now are 7-4-3 in league and 8-6-3 overall with 24 points, 33 goals for, 16 goals against and 6 shutouts. Everett Men are 2-5-4 in league and 2-8-4 overall with 10 points, 10 goals for, 27 goals against and 2 shutouts. Shoreline Women are 6-6-2 in league and 9-7-2 overall with 20 points, 46 goals for, 38 goals against and 3 shutouts. Shoreline Men are 2-7-3 in league and 2-11-4 overall with 9 points, 22 goals for, and 54 goals against.

 

Results vs Edmonds (10/30) - Everett Men's & Women's Soccer Teams traveled to Lynnwood, WA to play league games with the Tritons of Edmonds CC on the night of Wed. Oct. 30th. In the Men's game that started at 7:15pm, Triton Connor Marsh scored their first goal in the first 5 minutes of the game, with the assist to Zak Naylor. Two minutes later, with the assist from Kevin Carroll, JJ Schmeck scored the Tritons second goal. It wasn't until the second half with 7 minutes left, that they scored their third and final goal by Mikey Boswell. Trojan keeper Ian Beegle had 6 saves while Triton keeper had 1 save and recorded the shutout. With this loss, the Trojan Men are out of the playoffs for the 2013 season. They are 2-6-4 in league and 2-9-4 overall with 10 points, 10 goals for, 30 goals against and 2 shutouts. Edmonds Men are 8-3-2 in league and 8-7-2 overall with 26 points, 36 goals for, 31 goals against and 1 shutout.

 

Results vs Skagit Valley (11/2) - At 2:15pm, the Men's game started. In the 9th minute, Michael Cortright scored his first goal for Skagit and then scored his second goal of the game in the 15th minute. Jaime Guerrero assisted on the goal second goal. At halftime, Skagit Valley had a 2-0 lead. In the 58th minute, Trojan Julio Aguilar scored the Trojans only goal of the game with the assist from Jonny Perry. In the 71st minute and in the 90th minute, Skagit Valley's Eleazer Galvan scored to give Skagit the 4-1 win. Michael Cortright assisted on the goal in the 71st minute. By winning this game, Skagit Valley Men took 1st place in the Northern Region and advance to the NWAACC Playoffs. Everett finished with a league record of 2-7-4 and an overall record of 2-10-4 with 10 points, 11 goals for, 34 goals against and 2 shutouts. Skagit finished regular league play with a league record of 9-3-1 and overall record of 12-3-1 with 28 points, 46 goals for, 21 goals against and 2 shutouts.
