EvCC Men's High Jump Record Broken

On March 31st, at the University of Puget Sound Track & Field Meet, Freshman Jakobe Ford broke the Everett CC High Jump Record that has been in place since 1975 (Doug McDonald) & 1976 (Steve Shelton). He jumped 7'0 1/4" breaking the previous record of 7'0".  Jakobe's 7'0 1/4" mark is currently ranked #1 among all community college athletes in the Nation and #17 in the Nation among all collegiate athletes, including Division I.  The current top mark for collegiate outdoor is 7'5".  This winter, Jakobe jumped 7'4 1/4" at the UW open indoor meet.
