Coach Tansey Lystad: "Our Men's team competed well. We didn't get the best heat placement for some of our athletes, but they made the most of the opportunity they had to compete against high-level competition. They all have made improvements from the beginning of the season, and I know we are just getting started with this talented group."

Highlights from the Women's team:

  • Ellee London won her heat of the 800m and placed 6th overall, running 2:21.16 and automatically qualifying for the NWAC Championship. This mark is over 6 seconds faster than her debut last year of 2:27.68. She is currently ranked 2nd in the NWAC, and 7th on the EvCC all-time list.
  • Sandra Hart ran another seasons best in the 800m, running 2:31.10 for 8th in her heat. She is currently ranked 5th in the NWAC.
  • Taylor Dewing ran a season's best in the 100m hurdles, recording a time of 17.14. She also competed in the long jump, jumping 14'8.5". Her marks are ranked 6th and 13th in the NWAC respectively.

Coach Tansey Lystad: "The women held their own in their events. Both Ellee and Sandra ran strong in the 800m against only 4 year athletes from the DI, DII, and DIII levels. Taylor had a slight improvement in the 100 hurdles, and we are very proud of her effort this early in the season.

The Trojans will compete in two weeks at the Jay Hammer Invitational hosted by Saint Martin's University in Lacey, WA.
