Trojan Women's Basketball starts off season with win over Tacoma

The Trojan Women's basketball team started off their season with a convincing win over Tacoma Saturday November 17th. The Trojans started off the game down 3 at the end of the first period. By halftime, took a 6-point lead and never looked back. The Trojans outscored Tacoma 32 to 21 in the second half to win the game with a score of 68-51.

With only 7 on the roster tonight, the Trojans really looked good with all 7 contributing points. Guard Serifina Balderas had 22 points on 7-15 shooting in just 32 minutes of play. Hannah Hezekiah put away 23 in 40 minutes on 8-14 shooting. The two combined for 6 three pointers for the game.

On the boards for the Trojans Hannah Hilderbrand and Carolyn Brunner grabbed a combined 17 rebounds for the Trojans with 5 being offensive and giving the Trojans some second chance looks.

The Trojans look to go 2-0 Monday when they host Clark at 6pm.
