Trojans fall to Chemeketa

The 2-0 Trojan women's basketball team took on Chemeketa (1-2) at a late 10:00 pm tip-off. After a short warm up, Chemeketa took a quick lead and rallied off 19 points in the first quarter. Chemeketa had another strong quarter putting up 18 in the 2nd. The Trojans ended the half down 37-28 still within single digits.

Coming out of halftime, the Trojans had trouble getting a rhythm going starting off the 3rd quarter down 12-2 with 5 minutes to go. Midway through the third with Everett trailing 53-31, the Trojans found themselves shooting under 20% from the field. Kalan McGlothan of Chemeketa started the game going 8-9 from the field with 19 points and 11 rebounds while only in the third quarter.

Late in the third the Trojans went on a run to bring them within 14 points after going down 22. Chemeketa turned up their defense in the 4th and went on a 20-11 run. The Trojans finished off the game with only 4 on the floor as Hannah Hezekiah and Serafina Balderas fouled out. Hannah ended up with 22 for the Trojans with 4 assists and 4 steals.

The Trojans look to quickly bounce back with a game tomorrow at 1pm. Final score of today's game was 80-57.
