Trojans Wrap Up EvCC Basketball Classic Against Skagit

The Trojans hosted Skagit in a final consolation match up Sunday in the EvCC Basketball Classic. Both teams were looking to bounce back from loses yesterday as these two North Conference teams get a chance to face off before regular season conference play.

Everett has had a long weekend playing 3 days straight with only 6 players on the active roster list. The first half was close as both teams battled defensively, pressing full court. At the end of the first half, the Trojans were down 28-23. Hannah Hilderbrand had a big game for the Trojans going 2-3 from downtown scoring 11 points on the night.

Once the second half got underway, Skagit's deep bench showed its advantage as they continued to run the floor. With the Trojans getting into foul trouble they were not able to play their usual aggressive play. The final score ended in a victory for Skagit by the score of 64-48. Morgan Marshall had 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the Trojans while Hannah Hezekiah played a full 40-minute game with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists of her own. The Trojans look to take some time off and return with a full healthy roster before their next game.
