The Trojans took the court Saturday looking to defend Walt Price as they hosted Peninsula. The Trojans duo at the guard position Serafina Balderas and Hannah Hezekiah have been putting up outstanding numbers throughout the season. Looking to add another conference win, the Trojans would play with only 6 on the roster.
The Trojans looked good in the first half. They managed to hold within single digits at halftime down 30-24. Serafina did all she could tonight connecting on 5 from downtown and ending up with 34 points. Hannah Hezekiah had a 13-point game for the Trojans while coming down with 7 rebounds and two big blocks. Tetre'anna Wells saw some action tonight and played well for the Trojans.
In the second half Peninsula started connecting on a lot of shots giving them a lead in the third. After outscoring the Trojans 21-14, they finished the game by outscoring the Trojans by 9 putting the final score 76-55 Peninsula. Peninsula hit some big shots as well as shooting 50% from the field as well as beyond the arc to give them the edge.
