Trojans Close Out Columbia Basin

Looking to bounce back after a tough loss, Everett took on Columbia Basin at home by opening up the first quarter with a 12-4 lead. Kelsey Mellick came into today leading the Trojans in scoring averaging 20.3 ppg through the first three games of the season. Kelsey filled up the stat sheet totaling 17 points, 7 steals and 4 rebounds on the night. Alexa Martin finished with a double-double scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds as she would go 3-7 from three point range hitting some clutch shots when the Trojans struggled to score.

Columbia Basin after being down 5 at half stayed in the game until the final seconds. After a big score and steal from Kelsey Mellick in the final minutes, Columbia Basin had to foul to stay in the game. Hannah Hezekiah, who finished with 9 points, hit 5 of 6 free throws to seal the game for the Trojans.

The Trojans as a team played hard forcing 24 turnovers, which turned into 22 points for the Trojans. The Trojans play their next game at home on December 3rd as they host South Puget Sound before hosting the WBB Classic on December 6th.
