Bellevue, WA - The Trojans traveled to Bellevue on Saturday afternoon, to take on the Bulldogs, hoping to pick their first north region win.  The two teams had similar non conference records (EvCC 7-8, BC 5-11) but the Bulldogs were able to start off north region play at 1-0 after defeating Olympic College earlier in the week.

Everett started out the game on a 10-0 run, but Bellevue was able to trim the deficit to five before the end of the first quarter.  EvCC then struggled mightily in the 2nd quarter shooting just 1-11 from the field, and BC took a five point lead going into the half.

The Trojan offense continued to struggle in the 3rd quarter, allowing Bellevue to stretch the lead out to 15.  At 7:40 left to play BC led by as many as 19.  Jada Andresen had a big 15 point final quarter for the Trojans, making four threes, but it was too little too late, and Bellevue won it 66-54.

Andresen finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds, her first career collegiate double-double.   Baylor Thomas had 16 points, Perla Ruiz also scored in double figures with 11 and added 4 assists and 3 steals.  Ashlynd Hunt scored 6 and collected 9 rebounds, tying a career high.

Everett will search for its first north region win this week, but it will have to be on the road as the Trojans travel to Mount Vernon to take on Skagit Valley.  The Cardinals are 10-6 on the season, and 1-1 in north region play, recently defeating Olympic 70-68.  Tip off is scheduled for 5:00pm on Wednesday evening.
