A year ago, the Trojans women's soccer team played their final match of the regular season on sophomore day for nothing more than pride. Today, there was more than pride on the line as EvCC was fighting for the third and final spot in the NWAC playoffs.

The EvCC Women's Soccer team is off to it's best start since the 2014 season when the Trojans took home the NWAC Championship. Saturday's 4-3 win versus the visiting Portland CC Panthers proved that the 2019 Trojans can compete with the top caliber teams in the NWAC. Portland was coming off of a 4-0 win over Centralia, a narrow one goal loss to powerhouse Tacoma, and they were an NWAC playoff team last season.
