Back in the Win Column

After a tough week, the Trojans bounced back against cross county rivals Edmonds CC and started the final third of north region play on a good note with the 3-0.   From start to finish it was a well played game by the Trojans, and for sophomore transfer Olivia Lee it was another solid performance connecting on three of four shots on goal.  Her first goal came in the 13th minute of the match when the Trojans drew a foul in the penalty box.  Olivia's PK was well struck and found the back of the net for her first penalty kick goal of the season.

The Trojan defense was stout, only allowing 3 Edmonds shots in the first half, sophomore goalkeeper Emma Allison collected all three without much difficulty.

Olivia Lee got her second goal of the match in the 54th minute off of a play she created.  2nd Goal Highlight.   Less than 10 minutes later another display of well executed passing led to Lee's third goal of the game.  3rd goal Highlight.

Emma Allison and the Trojan defense remained solid through the second half as well and the Trojans picked up their 3rd shutout of the season.  For Lee, she now has 9 goals on the season and 8 assists for 26 total statistical points.  In the NWAC those 26 points ranks as 4th most in the NWAC and her 8 assists is tied for 3rd most.

The win secures an all important 3 points and moves the Trojans up one spot in the north region standings and back into the 3rd of 3 playoff spots, and just one point behind second place Whatcom (who they will face next week on October 23rd).

Just as important is a win against Edmonds in the T-Trophy series.

The next game will be on Saturday against Shoreline at Twin Ponds Park in Shoreline.  Kick-off is set for 6:00pm.
