Rafael Marins became Everett Community College's head women's soccer coach in the summer of 2017.  He is the 7th head coach to lead the program since it's inception in 1998.  In the program's 20 year history the Trojans have claimed the North Region Championship 4 times, most recently in 2014 when EvCC also took home it's first and only NWAC Championship.   

Marins' coaching career began immediately after he graduated from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas with a Business Management degree and a minor in international studies. 
 
He was one of the student assistant coaches at Tabor College in the fall of 2014 and also started working with Sporting Wichita Rojos at that same period of time. After a year of experience with Tabor and the Rojos Coach Marins moved to the state of Washington in 2015.
 
In that Summer Marins got involved with Fuerza academy coaching High School boys and girls as well as Fuerza's high performance summer women'soccer team. In the spring of 2016 Fuerza high school girls won state cup organized by PSPL and in the summer of that same year the high performance team made the semi-finals of the NWPL. 
 
In addition to helming the Everett CC women's soccer team, Marins still dedicates off season time to coaching at Fuerza as the head coach of the high school girls team.  
 
Marins is originally from Brazil and grew up playing club soccer in Rio de Janeiro before he was recruited to play at Tabor College. He played at Tabor from 2010-2013 and also has experience at the professional level, playing one season with the Wichita B-52s at the MISL (Major Indoor Soccer League) in 2013-2014. In 2015 Marins started training with FC Wichita to play in the NPSL season in the summer.
