Trojans Fall Short to Shoreline

The Trojans came into tonight sitting in last place of the North Region with a record of 3-16. The Trojans have played their opponents well over the course of the season but have fallen short in the final points in many of their sets. Tonight's matchup also features a 6-15 Shoreline team who has had their own ups and downs on the season.

Shoreline started the first set off with 4 straight points and never gave up their lead. Shoreline took the first set over the Trojans with a score of 25-12 with a strong 10 kill performance in the first set to the Trojans 5.

The Trojans came back in the second set and fought hard but ultimately it was Shoreline who would take the first two. In the second set, Shoreline tallied 15 of their total 31 kills. Sydney Eli and Eseta Samita were a light in the Trojans performance with 5 kills each. Although the Trojans stepped it up in the second, Shoreline closed out the second set with a score of 25-19.

After the intermission, Shoreline came out and ended the game quickly with a score of 25-13 giving them a 3-0 win over the Trojans.

The Trojans now will head out on the road to take on Skagit Valley Friday September 28 and look to win their first conference game.
