Trojans host Cardinals on Dig Pink Night

Tonight's matchup featured the Everett Trojans who played host to the Skagit Valley Cardinals. The Trojans entered the last week of play with an overall record of 3-23 and looked to finish off the season strong in these final two games. Sydney Eli and Eseta Samita lead the Trojans in the first set with a total of 9 kills. The Cardinals came into this match with a solid 5-4 conference record in a very competitive conference. The first set of play went back and forth but ultimately the Cardinals pulled away toward the end finishing the set 25-18. Down by more than 5 with the first set winding down, Seta came diving into the stands for a ball, displaying the competitive nature of the team and their will to fight until the final point.

The second and third set didn't see much improvement by the Trojans who lost both sets 25-14 and 25-9. Sydney Eli lead the way for the Trojans finishing with 10 kills on the night. After a big turnout for "Dig Pink" night, the Trojans look ahead to Friday where they will have their final match of the season and end with Sophomore night.
