The Trojans hosted Olympic in a close one Wednesday night. Both Olympic and Everett went into the match 0-4 in conference play both hungry for a win. Olympic started strong in the first set and seemed to have Everett's number, winning the first set with a dominating 25-12 performance. Olympic as a team went for 47 kills and 9 aces on the night in a solid effort.

The Trojans hung in there in the second set going on to win by a score of 25-18. The Trojans continued to battle and took their second set victory momentum into the third. Halfway through the third set the Trojans found themselves down 9 to 12. The Trojans went on to rally and regain the lead 13 to 12 after 4 straight points and never lost the lead. The Trojans pulled through to take the set by 2.

The Trojans needed a strong fourth set but could not quite secure the match. After being down 11 to 9, Olympic took momentum and rallied to a strong 25-14 win, forcing a fifth set.

The fifth set stayed pace to the previous sets, going point for point with both sides. Finally, it came down to a 14-14 scoreboard where the Trojans would win two straight off of a Bailey Gardner and Kasey Dale kill. Stasia Kaahanui led the Trojans with 11 kills on the night. Bailey Gardner put up a solid effort with a .333 HIT percentage on the night. Overall, it was a great team effort and win by the Trojans who will have a quick turnaround as they play their next game at home Friday against Bellevue.
