Several PR's Reached at Charles Bowles Invite

Saturday marked the second race of the season for the men's and women's cross country programs, hosted by Willamette University at Bush Park in Salem, Oregon.  Both teams had strong showings as nearly every runner set seaonal personal bests.  Top runner for the women was sophomore Andrea Padilla who improved her 5k time from last week by 1:06 and set a new career best.   Teammate Maylenn Cendejas improved the most from last week going from a time of 24:16 to 22:16 and was the 5th runner to score for the Trojans.  

On the men's side, it was Tim Mandzyuk who finished first for the Trojans, coming in 61st overall and 21st among NWAC runners.  He too improved last weeks time by over a minute (1:24).  Galmo Said was close behind finishing the race at a time of 27:47 shaving 1:43 off of last week's time and setting a new PR college best for the 8k.    Nathan McGinty showed the most improvement from last week to this week improving his 8k time by nearly two minutes.

The Trojans will have two weeks to train for their next race which will be the Warner Pacific Classic at Lents Park in Portland, OR.
