In what turned out to be the game of the year in all of NWAC soccer, the Everett Trojan's incredible season came to an end on Saturday afternoon after an epic penalty kick shootout that lasted 13 rounds.
For the first time since 2011, the Trojans men's soccer team is advancing to the NWAC Quarter-Finals. It would take an incredible effort on the road 317 miles from campus and down a goal early to persevere but this 2019 squad was up for the challenge.
Everett, WA - EvCC last played the Dolphins three weeks ago in Shoreline and came away with the 3-1 win. They were looking for a repeat performance and they got just that.
Lynnwood, WA - After last weeks 3-0 loss to Peninsula, the Trojan defense was back, getting the shutout for the third time this season, and more importantly defeating cross county rival Edmonds CC for the 2nd time this season by a score of 1-0.
The men's soccer team is undefeated through the first 8 matches of the season, something that has not been accomplished in 43 years of the program's history, and Saturday's 2-1 come from behind wind of powerhouse Whatcom is proof that the 2019 squad is a Title contender.
