Paul Wallrof

Paul Wallrof is perhaps best known as the long-time head football coach at the University of Puget Sound. After a 19 year career with the Loggers, Big Wally as he came to be known, was inducted to the UPS Hall of Fame in 2005.   A graduate of Cleveland High in Seattle, Paul headed north to Everett Junior College and played football in 1950 and 1951 for legendary coach Walt Price.  Wallrof then enlisted in the Marine Corps and served three years during the Korean War.  Returning home he walked on to the football team at the University of Washington and eventually became a starting tackle his senior year. Like many athletes who played for Coach Price, Wallrof went on to dedicate his life to coaching at the youth, high school, and college levels.  Paul passed away in 2018 at the age of 86.
