Trojans Shutout Tritons

Lynnwood, WA - In the second meeting of the season between Everett and Edmonds men's soccer, the Trojans got a repeat performance of last month's victory over the home Tritons.  In both games Everett jumped out to a 1-0 lead after the 30 minute mark and carried the one goal lead into halftime.  In the 38th minute Jacob Woodward found the first goal making a straight line run up the middle of the field.  Nacho Pedrosa received a long pass up the left side from Liam Raney who took two touches and sent the pass in to Woodward who finished inside the near post. The goal was Jacob's first on the season and 5th of his career at EvCC.

Everett continued to control possession in the 2nd half, but did not find the insurance goal until the 74th minute.  Jacob Woodward stole the ball away from an Edmonds defender and promptly sent a pass to fellow sophomore Daniel Amador.  Dani found Nacho Pedrosa at the top of the 18, who controlled the ball and sent a beautiful strike past the Edmonds keeper.  Moments later, the Trojans put the game on ice with a 3rd and final goal to secure the win.  Some nifty passing in Trojan territory led to a long pass out by Manny Segura finding Dani Amador who chased the ball down on the left side of the field.   Amador made a great move past a Tritons defender to the near post before sending the ball across and finding a wide open Nacho Pedrosa who put it away with his left foot.

The win marks the 2nd of the shortened spring season, with three left on the schedule.  The next and final home match is scheduled for Monday the 17th against Whatcom who features one of the most dangerous players in the NWAC in Flavio Espinoza who has two goals this season against the Trojans.
