Shutout Win in Bellevue

Shutout Win in Bellevue

Bellevue, WA - The Trojans got a much needed bounce back win on the road Wednesday afternoon against West region opponent Bellevue.  For the EvCC defense, it was their second shutout of the season and redshirt freshman goalkeeper Matarr Saho made 4 crucial saves that secured the 3-0 victory.  Freshman CJ Emmanuel put the Trojans on the board in the first half when his cross deflected off of a Bulldog defender into the back of the net.  The cross was credited a goal scored, and for CJ it was his first collegiate career goal.

Juan Castillo put the Trojans up 2-0 shortly, assisted by Jackson Cole, after the halftime break, and the Trojans leading goal scorer River Stewart connected for his 7th goal of the season to ice the game at 3-0.

Everett will round out the west region schedule with a road match on Saturday in Olympia against South Puget Sound CC.  Kick off is set for 2:15pm.
