Back to Back Wins on the Road

Olympia, WA - In the final matchup with a west region opponent, the Trojans showed out with a 5-1 victory over South Puget Sound CC and ended the cross regional play portion of the season with a 3-2 record.  Freshman, Juan Castillo got Everett on the board first when a Clipper defender cleared a cross right to the top of the 18.  Castillo was there, controlled it, and put it away for his 7th goal of the season.

The home Clippers, tied it up just two minutes later off of a free kick, but EvCC took the lead back in the 35th minute.  Victor Aguilar sent a long ball to River Stewart, who then found Nacho Pedrosa making a run who connected on his 2nd goal of the season.

Everett rode the 2-1 lead into halftime, and then shortly into the 2nd half, the flood gates opened.  Redshirt sophomore and captain Dani Amador scored his 3rd goal of the season and Trojan leading goal scorer River Stewart stretched the lead to 4-1 with a no doubter into the back of the net.  The game was put on ice in the 84th minute when Nacho Pedrosa scored his second goal of the game and Everett rolled to the 5-1 win.  Redshirt freshman Eric Ibanez got the start in goal for Everett and recorded a career high 7 saves.

EvCC will get their first taste of North region opponents this week, starting with rival Edmonds on Wednesday.  That game will be played on the road in Lynnwood, kick off slated for 4:15pm.
