19k's for Hoskins

Everett, WA - Kaylie Hoskins threw 19 strikeouts in route to a 2-1 win over rival Edmonds College.  In four games pitched Kaylie currently leads the NWAC with 56 strikeouts and an astonishing 15.89 K/7.  It was a pitchers dual throughout in game one but the Trojans got 2 runs across in the 5th to secure the win.  Kayla Tuaoa tripled to drive in a run, and that was followed by an Izzy Hanson double that brought in Kayla.

Game two featured twice as much offense, with 15 total hits between the two teams as opposed to 7 total in the previous.  Edmonds pushed across three runs in the 4th inning, but Everett responded with a run of their run in the bottom half of the inning to keep within striking distance.  The big inning for EvCC happened in the 6th, when 4 runs were scored to take a 5-3 lead.  Edmonds answered with a solo homerun in the top of the 7th, but pitcher Kayla Tuaoa slammed the door shut to finalize the score at 5-4.  Tuaoa leads the NWAC in batting average at .632.

Everett will play next Saturday at Skagit Valley College.
