Trojans Fall Short to Orcas

Trojans Fall Short to Orcas

Everett, WA - The Trojans opened up North Region play on Wednesday night at home against the 2019 North Region defending champs from Whatcom CC.   At 6-8 on the season, Everett had built some confidence heading into region play surviving a tough non-conference schedule that featured many perennial NWAC powerhouse programs.

From the onset, Whatcom took control and cruised to a 25-17 first set victory.  Things got interesting the 2nd set as the Trojans pushed WCC to the very brink and at one time led by as many as three points.  Everett held a 24-22 point lead, but four straight points from Whatcom stole the set back, and ultimately the momentum for the remainder match.  Whatcom improved to 13-3 on the season and notched their first win of region play.

Everett will have to bounce back quickly and take on a strong Shoreline team on Friday night.  First serve is scheduled for 7pm at the Walt Price Center.
