Results vs Grays Harbor (9/3) - The Trojan Volleyball Team won the first set 25-21 over the Chokers of

Grays Harbor College on Thursday, Sept. 3rd. The Chokers then went and won the 2nd set 27-25 and the 3rd set 25-19. The Trojans forced a

5th set by winning the 4th set 2522. The 5th set went down to the wire with the Chokers only winning by the mandated two points 15-13, to win the match. This was the first match for both teams in the 2015 season. The Trojans are now 0-1 overall and the Chokers are 1-0 overall.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Volleyball mini-tournament results 9/8 - The Trojan Volleyball Team hosted a mini-tournament on

Tuesday, Sept 8th in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. The first matches started at 5:00pm and had the Trojans facing the Raiders of

Pierce College and the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College facing the Gators of Green River CC. Both of these matches went to 4 sets.

Everett lost the first set 17-25 to Pierce, but then went onto win the next three with scores of 25-22, 2523 & 25-18. Skagit beat Green River the first set 25-19, lost the second set 20-25 and then won the next two with scores of 25-18 & 25-

14. The second matches started at 7:00pm with Pierce and Green River flip flopping courts. Both of these matches only went to 3 sets and Everett beat Green River with scores of 25-20, 26-24 & 25-17 while Skagit beat Pierce with scores of 25-20, 25-13 & 25-13. Everett is now 2-1 overall, Skagit Valley is 5-6 overall, Pierce is 2-2 overall and Green River is 1-5 overall.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2015 Volleyball Crossover Tournament Results Day #1 (9/19) - The Trojan Volleyball Team is hosting a 2015 Volleyball Crossover Tournament in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center on Saturday & Sunday, Sept 19th & 20th. Results from the 19th are: 10am matches: Highline CC over Olympic College 25-15 & 25-22; Shoreline CC over Big Bend CC 25-9 & 25-13. 10:30am match: Clark College over Columbia Basin College 25-9, 25-17 &

25-20. 11am matches: CC's of Spokane over Centralia College 25- 17 & 25-18; Lower Columbia College over Umpqua CC 25-13, 19-25 & 15-7. 12 pm matches:

Highline CC over Centralia College 25-15 & 25-20; Shoreline CC over Umpqua CC 25-11 & 25-13. 12:30pm match: EVERETT CC over Columbia Basin College 25-

13, 25-21 & 25-18. 1pm matches: CC's of Spokane over Olympic College 25-17 & 25-18; Big Bend CC over Lower Columbia College 25-20 & 25-21. 2pm matches:  Olympic College over CC's of Spokane 22-25, 25-21 & 15-10. 2015 Volleyball Crossover Tournament Results Day #2 (9/20) - Day two of the 2015 EvCC Crossover Volleyball Tournament started with games at 9:00am on Sunday, Sept 20th. Results for the 20th are: 9am matches (3 out of 5 & losers move to consolation bracket): Lower Columbia College beat Columbia Basin College 25-18, 25-23 & 25-14. EVERETT CC beat Centralia College 25-16, 25-19 & 25-14. CC's of Spokane beat Umpqua CC 2517, 25-15 & 25-23. 10:30am matches (3 out of 5): Olympic College beat Big Bend CC 19-25, 28-30, 25-21, 25-18 & 15-5. Clark College beat EVERETT CC 25-17, 25-23 & 25-16. Shoreline CC beat CC's of Spokane 25-22, 25-15, 18-25 & 25-22. Big Bend, Everett & CC's of Spokane all move to the consolation bracket which is a loser out bracket. 12pm matches: Highline CC beat Lower Columbia College in a 3 out of 5 match 25-22, 25-17 & 25-21, sending Lower Columbia to the consolation bracket. From the consolation bracket which is 2 out of 3: Big Bend CC beat Centralia 23-25, 25-19 & 15-13. Columbia Basin beat CC's of Spokane 28-26 & 25-21. Due to the 10:30am games running late, all of the other game times started late as well. Game Times listed are the scheduled times! The 1:30pm matches: (3 out of 5) Highline CC beat Olympic College to advance to the Championship Match, 25-17, 25-13 & 26-24.  Shoreline CC beat Clark College to also advance to the Championship Match, 29-27, 25-23, 19-25 & 25-21. Both Olympic & Clark tie for 3rd place. The 1:30pm match that was 2 out of 3 had Umpqua CC beating Lower Columbia College 3028, 18-25, 15-12.  The 2:30pm matches had Big Bend CC beating Umpqua CC to advance to the

Consolation Championship Match, 25-21 & 25-21. EVERETT CC beat Columbia Basin College 25-15 & 25-20 to advance to play Big Bend CC for the Consolation Match. The Consolation Match ended in two sets with EVERETT winning the match 25-17 & 25-19 over Big Bend CC. The Championship Match was very exciting ~ going all 5 sets, with three of the sets ending with a two point difference. Highline CC won the match over Shoreline with scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, 24-26 & 17-15.  Congratulations Highline CC on their 1st place finish, Shoreline CC on their 2nd place finish, Olympic College & Clark College for finishing in 3rd place and Everett CC as the consolation champion.

 

2015 Volleyball Crossover Tournament All-Tournament Team (9/20) - At the end of each match of day two of the 2015 Everett CC Volleyball Crossover Tournament, the Coaches voted for their choices on the members of the All-Tournament Team. Once all the votes were tallied the following have been named All-Tournament Team: Taylor Alexander Shoreline CC; Carlie Howard - Shoreline CC; Meghan Turner - Clark College; Amanda Marvin - EVERETT CC; Sarah Carpentar - Olympic College; Brittany Hosley - Big Bend CC and the Tournament MVP is Pumehana Nedlic from Highline CC.

Results vs Shoreline CC (9/23) - The 2015 league volleyball season opened on Wednesday, Sept 23rd with the Trojans traveling to Seattle, WA to play the Dolphins of Shoreline CC. The first set started at 7:00pm. The Dolphins won the first set with a score of 25-17. The second and third sets ended in a 26-24 score and Shoreline won the second and Everett won the third. The fourth set had the Dolphins outscoring the Trojans 25-13 to win the match 3-1. Game Highs for Everett: Natalia Sulantay 18 Kills, 11 Digs & 5 Aces; Caitlyn Johnson 11 Kills; Cassidy Olcese 10 Digs; Leilani Hansen 35 Assists & 10 Digs. Game Highs for Shoreline: Anna Golubitskikh 15 Kills; Kristina Nielson 13 Kills; Malia Parilla 11 Digs; Taylor Alexander 11 Kills & 3 Aces; Carlie Howard 43 Assists. Everett is now 0-1 in league and 6-4 overall with 19 Sets For & 13 Sets Against. Shoreline is now 1-0 in league and 13-4 overall with 37 Sets For & 15 Sets Against.

 

Results vs Whatcom CC (9/25) - The Trojan Volleyball Team hosted the Orcas of Whatcom CC on Friday, Sept. 25th in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. The first set started at 7:00pm and at the end of it, the Trojans had won with a score of 25-20. The second set had the Trojans winning 25-14 before the 10 minute intermission. After the intermission, the Trojans came out hot to finish the Orcas in the third set

25-14, to win the match 3-0. The Trojans are now 1-1 in league and 7-4 overall with 22 Sets For and 13 Sets Against. The Orcas are now 0-2 in league and 4-12 overall with 16 Sets For and 37 Sets Against. Game Highs: Everett ~ Natalia Sulantay with 12 Kills & 10 Digs; Caitlyn Johnson with 10 Kills; Leilani Hansen with 28 Assists & 10 Digs & Cassidy Olcese with 9 Digs.  Whatcom ~ Mikayla Deming with 5 Kills; McKenzie Wilkinson with 13 Digs; Lindsay Wegner with 7 Assists.

 

 

 

 

Results vs Skagit Valley (9/30) - The Volleyball game with Skagit Valley College was at 7pm in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. The first set went to the Cardinals with a score of 25-17. The second set was back and forth throughout, but at the end with a score of 27-25, Skagit Valley won to lead 2 Sets to 0 going into the 10 minute  intermission. The third set started and the Cardinals came out on fire, taking the lead and keeping it, winning the game 25-17 and the match 3-0. Game Highs: Everett  CC ~ Caitlyn Johnson 10 Kills; Natalia Sulantay 6 Kills & 14 Digs; Miranda Davidson 12 Digs; Leilani  Hanssen 17 Assists & 9 Digs. Skagit Valley College ~ Mia Adams & Audrey Frolich 12 Kills each; Kiana Calles 32 Assists & 10 Digs; Hailey Beierman 22 Digs. The Trojans are now 1-2 in league and 7-5 overall with 22 Sets For and 16 Sets Against. The Cardinals are 2-1 in league and 11-9 overall with 35 Sets For and 26 Sets Against.

 

Results vs Edmonds (10/1) - The Volleyball Team was in Lynnwood, WA playing the Tritons of Edmonds CC on Friday, Oct. 1st. The first set of the league match started at 7:00pmin the Seaview Gym. The Trojans won the match in three straight sets with scores of 25-18, 25-18 & 25-19. Game Highs: Trojans ~ Amanda Marvin 13 Kills; Natalia Sulantay 23 Assists; Cassidy Olcese 12 Digs. Tritons ~ Lea Bakken 11 Kills; Ali Carney 13 Assists; Natasha Valentine 13 Digs. Everett is now 2-2 in league and 8-5 overall with 25 Sets For & 16 Sets Against. Results vs Bellevue College (10/9) - Friday, Oct. 9th, the Trojan Volleyball Team took on the Bellevue College Bulldogs in Bellevue, WA. It only went three sets and all three sets were won by Bellevue. Set scores were 25-22, 25-16, 25-17. Everett is now 2-3 in league and tied for 4th place, 8-6 overall with 25 Sets For & 19 Sets Against. Bellevue is 5-0 in league and in 1st place, 15-9 overall with 52 Sets For & 34 Sets Against. Game Highs: Trojans ~ Natalia Sulantay & Amanda Marvin each with 9 Kills & Leilani Hansen with 20 Assists. Bulldogs ~ Audrey Saelens 17 Kills & 2 Solo Blocks; and Isabella Zubrod with 33 Assists.

 

Results vs Olympic College (10/14) - The Olympic Rangers Volleyball Team hosted a league match with the Trojans on Wednesday, October 14th in Bremerton, WA. It was an exciting match that went five sets. The Rangers won the first set 25-10, while the Trojans won the second & third sets with scores of 25-20 & 28-26. The fourth set went to the Rangers 25-22, and the fifth set was 17-15 for the Rangers. Everett league record is now 2-4 and in 5th place and 8-7 overall with 27 Sets For and 22 Sets Against. Olympic's league record is 3-3 and in 4th place and 13-15 overall with 43 Sets For and 52 Sets Against. Game Highs: EvCC ~ Amanda Marvin 20 Kills & 11 Digs; Caitlyn Johnson 11 Kills; Natalia Sulantay 32 Assists & 13 Digs; Miranda Davidson 19 Digs. OC ~ Brylie Barnette 17 Kills & 14 Digs; Sarah Carpentar 52 Assists & 12 Digs; Dani Cichosz 16 Kills & 11 Digs; Hannah Hudson 22 Digs; Makaela Kindell & Azhawalee Oliver with 11 Kills each.

 

Lower Columbia College Crossover Tournament Day #1 (10/16) - The Trojan Volleyball Team was down in Longview, WA participating in the Lower Columbia College Crossover Tournament. The first day, 10/16, the Trojans faced and beat the Titans of Tacoma CC at 1:00pm with scores of 25-20, 14-25 & 21-19. Then at 3:00pm, the Trojans faced and beat the Lakers of Southwestern Oregon CC with scores of 25-19 & 2519. The Trojans then faced the Sasquatch of the CC's of Spokane at 6:00pm and lost with scores of 15-25 & 15-25. With this record they will go into Saturday's bracket play facing the Warriors of Walla Walla CC.

 

Lower Columbia College Crossover Tournament Day #2 (10/17) - On the second day of the Lower Columbia College Volleyball Crossover Tournament in Longview, WA, the Trojans faced the Walla Walla CC Warriors in the first round of bracket play. This match went 5 sets and the Warriors won with scores of 21-25, 24-26, 25-21, 25-22 & 15-4. This sent the Trojans to the loser bracket where they faced the Dolphins of Shoreline CC. In this match the Trojans won with scores of 18-25, 25-17 & 15-11. With the win they then faced the Sasquatch of CC's of Spokane again. This time it went three sets and the Sasquatch won with scores of 27-25, 22-25 & 15-12. This takes Everett to a 2-4 league record, a 11-10 overall record with 36 Sets For and 31 Sets Against.

 

Results vs Shoreline (10/21) - The Trojan Volleyball Team beat the Dolphins of Shoreline CC in 5 sets on Wed. Oct. 21st the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. Scores were: 25-19, 25-20, 19-25, 22-25 & 15-13. Game Highs Trojans ~ Amanda Marvin 22 Kills & 9 Digs; Natalia Sulantay 19 Kills & 22 Digs; Caitlyn Johnson 13 Kills; Miranda Davidson 25 Digs; Leilani Hansen 51 Assists. Dolphins ~Taylor Alexander 18 Kills & 11 Digs; Anna Golubitskikh 17 Kills; A'Laisia Redden 21 Digs; Josephine Dalrymple 17 Digs;  Carlie Howard 43 Assists & 11 Digs. Everett now 3-4 in league and 12-10 overall with 39 Sets For & 33 Sets Against. Shoreline is 5-2 in league and 20-10 overall with 64 Sets For & 34 Sets Against.

 

 

 

 

 

Results vs Whatcom (10/23) - The Orcas of Whatcom CC hosted the Trojans in a league volleyball match on Friday, Oct. 23rd in Bellingham, WA. The match was close for all three sets, with Everett winning by only two points in each set ~ 27-25; 25-23; 27-25. Game Highs for Everett ~ Natalia Sulantay 14 Kills, 10 Digs & 4 Aces; Amanda Marvin & Cailtyn Johnson each with 10 Kills, Miranda Davidson 15 Digs; Leilani Hansen 43 Assists. For Whatcom ~ Olivia Bjorklund 13 Kills; Hanna Halverson 31 Assists; Mikayla Deming 11 Kills; Megan Greer 13 Digs; Taylor Lindbloom 11 Digs; McKenzie Wilkinson 10 Digs. The Trojans are now 4-4 in league and 13-10 overall with 42 Sets For & 33 Sets Against. The Orcas are now 1-7 in league and 6-19 overall with 25 Sets For & 59 Sets Against.

 

Results vs Skagit Valley (10/26) - On Monday, Oct. 26th, the league match between the Trojans and the Cardinals took place at Skagit Valley College in Mt. Vernon, WA. While all three sets were close, the Cardinals was the winner of all three with scores of 25-22, 25-23 & 25-20. Game Highs: EvCC - Natalia Sulantay 15 Kills; Leilani Hansen 30 Assists & 13 Digs; Miranda Davidson 13 Digs. SVC - Mia Adams 16 Kills; Audrey Frolich 14 Kills & 15 Digs; Kiana Calles 37 Assists & 15 Digs; Alexa Hess & Hailey Beierman 10 Digs each. Everett is now 4-5 in league and 13-11 overall with 42 Sets For & 36 Sets Against. Skagit Valley is 7-2 in league and 19-11 overall with 60 Sets For & 37 Sets Against.

 

Results vs Edmonds CC (10/28) - Trojan Volleyball swept the Tritons of Edmonds CC in three straight sets with scores of 25-10; 25-14; 25-18 on Wednesday, Oct. 28th. The match took place in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center and started at 7:00pm. Game Highs: Trojans ~ Natalia Sulantay 11 Kills & 12 Digs; Leilani Hansen 30 Assists; Miranda Davidson 12 Digs; Cassidy Olcese 11 digs. Tritons ~ Delaney Watson 12 Assists; Natasha Valentine 12 Digs. Everett is now 5-5 in league and 14-11 overall with 45 Sets For & 36 Sets Against. Edmonds is now 0-9 in league and 4-22 overall with 19 Sets For & 63 Sets Against.

Sophomore Natalia Sulantay was named the Defensive Player of the Week and Sophomore Leilani Hansen was named Setter of the Week. Congratulations Ladies!***

 

Results vs Bellevue College (11/6) - The Bulldogs of Bellevue College proved too much for the Trojans Volleyball Team on Friday, November 6th. The Trojans were in a must win situation to keep their playoff hopes alive. In the first set, the Bulldogs came out and took the lead and kept it, winning 25-19. The second set had the Trojans keeping it close until the end when the Bulldogs won 25-17. In the third set after the 10 minute intermission, the Trojans fought every rally. It was a back and forth game, then the Bulldogs took a lead, needing only 1 point to win. The Trojans refused to give up and rallied back to 23-24, but then a missed serve by the Trojans gave the Bulldogs the set and the match, 25-23. This loss keeps the Trojans from post season play as they will finish in 5th place in league, with one more league game left. The Trojans are now 5-6 in league, 14-12 overall with 46 Sets For & 39 Sets Against. Bellevue is in 2nd place with a 8-3 league record, a 20-14 overall record with 74 Sets For & 52 Sets Against.

 

Results vs Olympic (11/10) - The 2015 Trojan Volleyball season ends with a 1-3 loss to the Rangers of Olympic College on Tuesday, November 10th in the Walt Price Student Fitness Center. Olympic won the first two sets with scores of 25-22 & 25-23, Everett won the third set 25-19 and Olympic won the fourth set & match with a score of 25-19. Game Highs: Everett ~ Natalia Sulantay 22 Kills & 14 Digs; Leilani Hansen 32 Assists & 14 Digs; Miranda Davidson 11 Digs.  Olympic ~ Brylie Barnette 14 Kills & 16 Digs; Makaela Kindell 16 Kills & 13 Digs; Hannah Hudson 16 Digs; Sarah Carpenter 33 Assists &

22 Digs; Courtney New 14 Digs.  The Trojans finish the 2015 season with a 5-7 league record and 14-13 overall record, with 46 Sets For & 42 Sets Against. The Rangers finish league play tied for 3rd place with a 8-4 league record and a 22-17 overall record with 73 Sets For & 63 Sets Against.

 

 

 

 

 

NWAC releases Volleyball All-Star lists (11/16) - The 2015 Volleyball All-Star lists have been released by the NWAC on Monday, November 16th. In the Northern Region, the Trojans had 2 make the All-Star list and 3 make the Sophomore All-Star Team along with 2 alternates. Natalia Sulantay made the 1st Team while Miranda Davidson made the 2nd Team. Both Sulantay & Davidson made the Sophomore All-Star Team as well as Cheyanne Laber. Leilani Hansen & Larissa Block were named as alternates for the Sophomore Team.
