Softball Sophomore pitcher, Ava Puaatuua, from Pearl City High School in Pearl City, Hawaii is our Female Athlete of the Week. Ava threw a no hitter in the second game of the doubleheader against Highline College with 8 strikeouts. Against Highline she hit .571 with two triples, 2 RBI's and scored 4 runs. Against Pierce she recorded a hit  and scored a run while also stealing a base in two at bats.  Ava is batting .417 this season and has frequently been at the top of the batting order in the lead off position.  She has 7 RBI's and 6 runs scored.
