Blake Sandvik, sophomore baseball pitcher fromDes Moines, WA out of Bishop Blanchet High School is our Male Athlete of the Week. In his appearance against Douglas College, Blake pitched 7 innings with 11 strikeouts and only 3 hits in the 6-0 shutout. Overall on the season, he has a 5-2 record, he has pitched 55.0 innings which is 5th in the NWAC, his 63 strikeouts is 6th in the NWAC and his 1.15 ERA is 3rd in the NWAC. Blake has a .76 WHIP and has only walked 10 batters.
