Emmajoy Wise is the 2024-2025 EvCC Female Athlete of the Year. Out of Stanwood, the freshman softballer had a show stopping year, finishing the season with a .506 batting average (5th in the NWAC), and led both the team and the NWAC in doubles with 28.  That number is also an EvCC school record in doubles for a single season.  She also started and played in all 51 games this season making her presence known behind the plate as a lockdown catcher, leading the NWAC in runners caught stealing with 18.  EJ had 23 multi hit ball games including a 17 game hitting streak, totaling 88 hits which is second most all time at EvCC in a single season.   

She’s cracked a few other all time lists this season; 2nd in runs scored (77), 6th in home runs (12), 2nd in RBI’s (71), and 4th in walks drawn (26).  She was named the North Region’s Most Valuable Player, one of eight Trojans to gain recognition on the All North Region lists. She’s getting it done in the classroom as well, earning spots on the Academic Honor Roll, both the Dean’s list, and the President’s list with a 4.0 in winter quarter, contributing to the outstanding softball team GPA of 3.60.
