
Sophomore Micah Coleman is the 2024-2025 EvCC Male Student Athlete of the Year. He was a premier player for the Trojan baseball team appearing in all 51 games this season batting .361 which ranked 4th in the NWAC, with 2 home runs, and led the team in RBI’s with 32. He also stole 16 bases and led the team in runs scored with 47 (2nd in the NWAC). Micah was as solid as it gets at the plate with 20 multi hit ball games, including two 4 for 4 games, and nearly hit for the cycle in the 3-0 win at Shoreline. Micah was also the starting shortstop earning north region gold glove honors with 125 assists, 52 putouts, and turned 22 double plays on a .952 fielding percentage.
Micah was named the north region position player of the year along with 10 other Trojan teammates that made the All Region teams. In addition to regional honors, he was named First Team All NWAC, and was a third team All-American. He is a five time academic honor roll recipient including twice on the president’s list with a 4.0 quarterly GPA. Micah is graduating this spring with his AA and has signed with NCAA Division 1 USC-Upstate to continue playing and studying Journalism.
