In a year of accomplishments that was over-shadowed by the global pandemic of COVID-19, we take a look back at the 2019-2020 Trojan Athletic year to share, celebrate, and remember those stories.

Cross Country
Men's Northwest Region Runners Up; 4 men named all region; Women's Northwest Region Runners Up; 2 women named all region; 3 men inside top 35 at NWAC Championship meet with 7th place team finish. 5 women inside top 35 at NWAC Championship meet, & 6th place team finish. Women's Team had a team GPA of 3.09; 6 athletes on academic honor roll and 3 on the Presidents list.
Women's Soccer
9-6-5 overall record, missed playoffs by 3 points; Cassidy Gamble, Hannah Heister, Olivia Lee and Emily Marriott were named to the all region team; Emma Allison finished here career with 205 saves the most all time at EvCC; 5 of 6 sophomores graduated with AA's; 9 made academic honor roll, including 3 on the President's List. Olivia Lee named National Finalist for NATYCAA Scholar Athlete Award & playing next season at WWU.
Men's Soccer
13-5-4 overall record becomes most wins in program history; Manny Segura set an EvCC single season record with 10 assists & Cameron Beardsley recorded 123 career saves, the most in EvCC history; Qualified for the playoffs for 3rd straight season, & advanced to quarterfinals after a first round win over Lane CC. 3 players made the All-Region team and Mamadi Sarr was named the Region MVP; Erik Cruz was named Regional Coach of the Year & became the all-time winningest coach at EvCC; 6 made the academic honor roll.
Women's Volleyball
After 0 conference wins last season the team improved to win 2 this season under an interim coach & 6 matches overall. 2 of 2 sophomores graduated with AA degrees and 9 of 13 made the EvCC Academic Honor Roll including 5 on the Dean's List and 1 on the President's List. Whitney Williams was hired as head coach in January coming from a very successful 6 years at nearby Arlington HS.
Women's Basketball
15-15 overall record, finished #4 in the North Region & qualifying for the postseason; 2 earned All North Region Honors, Morgan Marshall (all defensive team) and Hannah Hezekiah (1st team). Hannah scored 1,101 career points, third most all time and only one of three EvCC women's basketball players in the 41 year program history to eclipse 1,000 career points mark. Chet Hovde in his 34th season won his 525th career game; 7 made the Academic Honor Roll. No Post Season due to COVID-19.
Men's Basketball
25-4 overall record; won the North Region Championship for the 3rd year in a row; led the conference in a number of statistical categories; 3 made the all region team and Bobby Martin was the freshman of the year; Mike Trautman was also named North Region Coach of the year. 6 made the Academic Honor. No post season due to COVID-19.
Track and Field
No track and field season due to COVID-19. 14 athletes made the academic honor roll and 5 athletes made the president's list with 4.0 GPA's.
Softball
0-4 start to the regular season before season cancelled due to COVID-19; Team went undefeated in the fall season. 7 athletes made the honor roll and Ciara Harding made the presidents list twice.
Baseball
4-7 start to the season before it was cancelled due to COVID-19. All year this team performed well academically with 31 players making the academic honor roll, including 8 on the president's list with 4.0 GPA's. Overall team GPA was 3.09. Nine players have signed to play at the next level, and 10 finished spring quarter with their AA degrees. Freshman Ocean Gabonia signed with the New York Yankees organization.
