George Holland

George Holland was a Trojan golfer in 1947, the first year of competitive golf at the College.  The 1947 team won the state championship, and Holland was the Junior College State Medalist.  He was the Everett City Champion in 1947, then transferred to the University of Washington.  At UW, Holland was a member of a PAC-8 Northern Division championship team, and played competitively for over 40 years.

Holland has won the following championships as a senior golfer:  Pacific NW Golf  Association (PNGA); Washington State Seniors Golf Association; Northwest Senior Golf, and was a semi-finalist at the 1987 United States Golf Association Sr. Amateur championships.

Holland is a member of the Pacific NW Golf Association Hall of Fame and served as president of the Washington State Golf Association two different times, from 1987-1989 and 1993-1995.

George passed away on October 30th, 2017 at the age of 91. Obituary
