1960 Trojan Football Team


EvCC Coach Walt Price led the 1960 football team to the state championship with a record of 7 -1. The Trojans’ only loss came at the hands of Yakima Community College. The squad beat highly ranked Boise Junior College (now Boise State University) in the annual Evergreen Bowl, and placed eleven players on the All-Conference team. Price was selected as The Herald's “Man of the Year in Sports” following the season. He was assisted by Ed Puck and Paul Blowers.
