Chris Sievers
Chris Sievers attended Everett Junior College in 1954 earning recognition as a member of the track and field squad. A graduate of Everett High, Sievers joined an EJC track team that would go on to win the Washington State Junior College track and field state championship in large part due to his individual efforts. Sievers was the state champion in the high hurdles, low hurdles, and long jump. He was a second-place finisher in the 100-yard dash and competed on the third-place mile relay team. In the process, Sievers tallied 18 of the teams 49 ¾ points, set a new state record in the low hurdles (24.7 seconds), and tied the high hurdle state record (15.8 seconds). He went on to the University of Washington and became a three-year letterman for the Huskies. Sievers retired from a successful career in the banking industry and resides in north Everett.
