Jerry Parrish played football for Walt Price’s1954 championship and Hall of Fame team. Like many of Walt’s former players, Jerry cites both Price and assistant coach Bob Gambold as positive influences on him, and he followed their career path into coaching. Parrish coached for nearly 50 years in Washington state high schools, including Colfax, Pilchuck, and North Kitsap. He has received numerous awards and honors over his long career, and is a member of the Washington State Football Coaches Hall of Fame. His involvement with student-athletes has been at the state and national level as well. Parrish participated as Executive Secretary of the Washington State Coaches Association, and as an executive member of the National Organization of Coaches. He and his wife raised three children and live in the Poulsbo area.
