EvCC Hall of Fame Coach Marv Cross led the 1966 football team to a 7-1-1 record, earning them a share of the state championship based on a tie with co-champion Columbia Basin College. The team was led by Bob Lovell at quarterback, who led the league in passing, and another EvCC Hall of Famer Randy Montgomery, who led the league in rushing. Seventeen Trojans made the all-conference or honorable mention list, including first team all-conference players Lovell, Montgomery, Tom Frank, Tim Ryan, Tony Hawkins, Bob Womack, and Jeff Bagdanov.
